Flu Clinic

Offered by the Spectrum Health Continuing Care Visiting Nurse Association (VNA). For your health and the safety of others, the best way to prevent the spreading of flu is to get your flu shot. This is especially true if you spend time with the young or elderly. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone older than six months be vaccinated for the flu. Spectrum Health provides a number of convenient ways for you and your family to get vaccinated, including this clinic at Rockford Reformed Church.

REAL Men

Every other Friday, 7am, Fireside Room

REAL exists to strengthen our relationship with Christ and with each other by authentically sharing our faith journey so we all can be encouraged and grow in our faith.

REAL is a group that strives to create authentic and meaningful relationships among men and that desires a deeper relationship with Christ. It is a group that believes God is actively working in our lives, and that we all have a story that He wants us to tell. It is not a Bible study or an accountability group, and it is not exclusive to RRC, so invite others! Each meeting will feature a speaker. See below for the current schedule.

Goals

  • Relationship – God created to us to be in fellowship, and when we share in life, we experience the fullness of the life he created for us.
  • Encouragement – God has enriched our lives with experiences that are not just for us. The blessings and tribulations of our lives are also intended to enrich the lives of others.
  • Authenticity – We are perfectly loved by God and our need for acceptance is found in Him alone. This frees us to express ourselves as who we are, not as who we wish we were.
  • Love – With humility and grace towards others as God does with each of us.

2018 Schedule

  • Sept 14 – Rob Bergman: My wife Stephanie and I have been in the process of infant domestic adoption for just over 14 months. Come to hear from me some of the struggles as well as the great joys we have experienced over this process. Also, hear me share a few of the lessons I have learned while working as a hospice social worker.
  • Sept 28 – Kevin Johnson: Yes, the picture is one of the first realities that empty nest was upon Polly and I this summer as Lilly graduated. I hope to see you this Friday as I share my experiences of fatherhood; both in being fathered and the ever-present struggles still today as well as being a father and the journey into more defining moments of these young adults.
  • Oct 12 – Seth Clayton: My story is about God’s unfailing love and the means that He used to draw me to Himself. From my rebellious early years to my current day struggles, God has continued to pursue me despite some of my best attempts to elude Him. I look forward to sharing how God has used some of the past events of my life to show me that we are never beyond His grasp.
  • Oct 26 – Darryl DeGood: Come listen to me tell about running from God and realizing he is real.
  • Nov 9 – Shaun Moore: Come endure the ramblings of a common sinner saved by God’s Grace – a man who’s tired of pretending he has it all together.
  • Nov 30 – Kerry McDonough:
  • Dec 7
