Children’s Ministry Sunday Recap 02-17-13
What did we study in Caravan today?
Current rotation: Feeding the 5000 (John 6:1-14)
We will focus this rotation on Jesus accepting the simple gift of a young boy and blessing thousands of people.
What did we talk about in Children & Worship today?
Luke 18: 15-17 • Today your child heard the story of Jesus and the Children. At the end of the lesson, the teacher asked some “wondering” questions to engage the children in the story and to encourage them to continue thinking about what they heard even after they leave. There is not always a right or wrong answer; they are meant to be a time of reflection and wondering, a way to connect the Word of God to their lives. Ask your child a few and see how they respond. Be sure to share your thoughts with them too!
- I wonder how the children felt on their way to see Jesus?
- I wonder what the children said to Jesus?
- I wonder what Jesus said to the children?
Easter Egg Hunt 2013

Easter Egg Hunt and Family Breakfast
Saturday, March 30 • 9:30am
Join us for a morning of family fun! The Egg Hunt will begin at 9:30am on the front lawn of RRC. Immediately following the Egg Hunt, there will be a family pancake breakfast in the Family Life Center (gym).
Bring your friends! All kids ages birth through 5th grade are invited to participate! Suggested donation for breakfast: $3 for adults, $2 for kids, $10 family max.
Kids Food Basket

We have a great opportunity to get the kids of RRC involved with serving children through a local organization. Kids Food Basket is a non-profit organization based in Grand Rapids. Their mission is to ensure that children in our community do not go to bed hungry. They currently serve nearly 5,000 kids each day.
We have already begun to help by decorating extra-large lunch bags during Sunday School. You are welcome (and encouraged) to join with us and purchase extra-large bags and decorate them at home!
Starting now, we are collecting portable snack items (which can be placed on the stage in the Old Fellowship Hall or by the fireplace in the Youth Room):
- Granola bars
- 100% juice boxes
- Cracker packs
- Individual fruit cups, pudding cups, gelatin cups
- Peanut butter
- Cheerios (plain)
- 100% fruit packs
