Summer Mission Trips 2013
This summer, both ROCK and WAVE will be traveling to Live Oak, Florida! Live Oak was hit hard by Tropical Storm Debby and sustained major flood damage. Last June, roughly 80% of Live Oak was underwater during the height of the rain and countless people were displaced from their homes.

Grad Sunday 2013
Congregation:
Join us as we celebrate our high school and college graduates! There will be a cake reception between services in the Fellowship Hall (downstairs). Students are encouraged to attend both services.
Parents of High School and College Graduates:
It’s that time of year again. The time when planning for open houses and the anticipation of graduation takes hold (Were you trying not to think about it yet? Sorry). In celebration of our graduates, RRCYM likes to do something extra special by creating a booklet that will be placed in each person’s church mailbox containing pictures of your graduate, a letter or prayer request from you to your son or daughter, and open house information. Each graduate will be allotted one page. Please take this opportunity to celebrate your graduate with us as a church! Letters MUST to be emailed to Trisha by Sunday, May 12!
Please include in the letter your graduate’s full name, your names, where they are planning to go to school (or their future plans), what they are planning on majoring in, a message/prayer, and open house information (if open house info is something you want published).

Bible Drive
Have any extra Bibles lying around the house? Please collect them and bring them to the Youth Room. We will be sending them to “Bible Senders”, which in turn sends them to missionaries around the world who desperately need the word of God to lead others to Christ!
Reverb All-Nighter 2013
Reverb All-Nighter (for Middle Schoolers)
Friday, March 22 (10pm) – Saturday, March 23 (7am)
Cost: $15 by Sunday, March 17. On or after March 18 is $20. Make checks payable to “BHBC” and fill out the consent form (available in the Youth Room). Please hand in to your Reverb leaders (Ashley for NRMS and Steve for ERMS).
Kids can be dropped off and picked up at Meadow Ridge Elementary School (8100 Courtland Dr).
What are we going to do that whole time?
Octoball, theater rooms, interactive video games, indoor reball arena, indoor skate park, athletic courts, life-sized Angry Birds, table games, crafts, lounge areas, free pizza and breakfast!
WAVE Spring Retreat 2013
WAVE Spring Retreat at Cran-Hill Ranch
April 12-14
We will be leaving from church at 6pm. Please eat dinner before you arrive and make sure to bring your red RRCYM informed consent (if you received one in the mail) and the yellow Cran-Hill liability waiver. You cannot go without this!
We will return to church around noon on Sunday, April 14.

Wednesday Activities Canceled 02/27/13
All Wednesday Evening Activities Canceled. This includes Simple Supper, Pioneer Clubs, Youth Group, and Adult Bible Studies. It is our policy that if Rockford Public Schools are closed, then all activities are canceled. Thank you!
Garage Sale 2013

The annual church garage sale to support Rockford Reformed Church Youth Ministries is coming up! Money raised at the garage sale will go towards supporting the youth summer mission trips.
Donations
Time to start spring cleaning? To make this year another great success we need your stuff! So clean out those closets and bring your “junk” to church!
Items can be dropped off March 11-15. Signs in the Family Life Center will show you where to place your items. Donation receipt forms will be available.

Volunteer to help set up and run the sale!
On Thursday (2:00-4:30pm) and Friday (9:00am-6:00pm), we need as many people as possible to help get everything set up. Please indicate what time you will be there when signing up.
On Saturday (March 16), we need people to help during the sale at the counter and as cashiers. We need 5 people from 8:30am-12:00pm, and 5 people from 12:00-3:00pm.
If you are on the Table, please sign up there. Look for it in the Serve section of the Church tab (you should see it immediately when you log in). If you are not on the table, please sign up by emailing connections.rrc@gmail.com.
WAVE and ROCK
This event is an easy way that our entire church can support you! We need you to help set up during these times:

Kids Food Basket
We have a great opportunity to get the kids of RRC involved with serving children through a local organization. Kids Food Basket is a non-profit organization based in Grand Rapids. Their mission is to ensure that children in our community do not go to bed hungry. They currently serve nearly 5,000 kids each day.
We have already begun to help by decorating extra-large lunch bags during Sunday School. You are welcome (and encouraged) to join with us and purchase extra-large bags and decorate them at home!
Starting now, we are collecting portable snack items (which can be placed on the stage in the Old Fellowship Hall or by the fireplace in the Youth Room):
- Granola bars
- 100% juice boxes
- Cracker packs
- Individual fruit cups, pudding cups, gelatin cups
- Peanut butter
- Cheerios (plain)
- 100% fruit packs
Caravan Only
On Sunday, April 28, a group of us will be going to help fill “sack supper” bags from 4:30-6pm. This is for both Caravan kids (K-5th) and their parents. We can have 25-30 in our group. There is a sign-up sheet at the Caravan counter, or you can sign up on the Table in the “Parents of Children” group. If you have any questions, please contact Beth Jennings.

On Saturday, April 27, a group of us will be going to help fill “sack supper” bags from 2-4:30pm. We can only have 25-30 in our group so you will need to sign up by contacting Trisha ASAP at tvsatrrc@gmail.com.
