Cleanup Day

We are having a Spring Cleanup Day on April 21 starting at 8am. Lunch provided! Please bring wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, etc. Let Roger Hoogewind know if you plan on coming (so we can have enough food) (401-8631).
 


Derby Car Race

Wednesday, April 11, 2018 • 6:30pm

RRC gym • hot dogs and chips available for dinner

Everyone is invited to join us for an evening of races, prizes, food, and fun!  Cars are created by our 1-5 graders in class and they will race against their own age group. Cars do not go home with kids until the race is over. Trophies for 1st-3rd place in each age group!
 
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:1b-2a).

Haiti Inquiry Meeting

Info Meeting – Sunday, March 11, 2018 •  7:00pm

We are in the process of assembling a team to send to Haiti again this year. We will once again be partnering with the Haiti Foundation Against Poverty (haitipoverty.org) and look forward to serving alongside this amazing organization.
 
Our travel dates are June 20-27. We will have an informational meeting on Sunday, March 11 at 7pm in the Fireside Room. The meeting will last approximately one hour and the basics of the trip will be covered. As interest in this trip has grown over recent years, we can only expect to have another full team. Please come to hear more about his amazing opportunity to grow and serve our Lord. If you can’t attend this meeting, but are interested in going to Haiti, please contact Rachel DeKuiper – rmdekuiper@rockfordschools.org.


Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, March 31, 2018 • 9:30am

Join us for a morning of family fun! Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is on Saturday, March 31. The egg hunt will begin at 9:30am on the front lawn. All kids infant through 5th grade are invited to participate! Bring your friends!
 
Immediately following the egg hunt, there will be a family pancake breakfast in the gym. Suggested donation for breakfast: $3 for adults, $2 for children, $10 family max. 


Garage Sale

Saturday, March 16, 2019 • 9 am – 2 pm in the gym

The annual church garage sale to support Rockford Reformed Church Youth Ministries is coming up! Money raised at the garage sale will go towards supporting the youth summer mission trips. Bag sale from 1-2pm.

To make this year another great success we need your stuff! So clean out those closets and bring your “junk” to church!
 
Items can be dropped off March 6-15 during office hours (M-Th 9am-2:30pm). Signs in the gym will show you where to place your items. Donation receipt forms will be available. Please note that we cannot take large appliances, TV’s, child car seats, or mattresses (crib mattresses are ok).

Thursday, March 14 starting at noon, and Friday, March 15 all day.

Camp Voucher Codes

RCA Camps (Geneva & Cran-Hill) & other Christian Camps (Camp Roger, Pine Ridge, Spring Hill, etc.)

Camp Registration Policy: RRC will pay $150 per child/youth one time each calendar year for those not already receiving financial support from another church or organization.

Who is eligible?

  • Any child/youth who is a member of Rockford Reformed Church.
  • Any child/youth (non-member) who attends church or other programs at RRC such as Sunday School, KidLife Club, Youth Groups, etc.
  • One guest (non-member) may be invited by persons from the above two categories.
  • Other Christian camps subject to approval on an individual basis.

The church’s share of the fee is paid by using:

  • A sponsorship code for CRAN-HILL (2019: 1023882-150D2019)
  • A promo code for CAMP GENEVA (2019: 9415-150D)
  • Other Christian Camps: Copy of paid registration is submitted to the church and church portion is paid directly to the camp.
 
Camp Geneva & Cran-Hill Ranch will bill the church directly. The individual’s portion of the fee is payable at the time the registration form is mailed. Covered camps include: RCA Camps (Geneva & Cran-Hill), other Christian Camps (Camp Roger, Pine Ridge, Spring Hill, etc.).
 
If your child invites a guest, please be sure to let the church office know the child’s name. This helps us know if the camp billing is correct when it comes. Thank you!


Chili Cookoff

Missions Chili Cook-off! Join us in the gym after the 11am service on January 28 as we enjoy some award-winning chili and corn bread! Darryl DeGood will share about his recent Guatemala trip, Rachel DeKuiper will present a Jorvens update, and there will be info about the missions we support! Cost: donations toward missions!
 
Season up those chili pots! We are looking for 10 people to bring their AWARD-WINNING CHILI to church on Sunday, January 28 to be judged by members of the missions team! Awards will be presented to the top three. Let us know you’ll be bringing your famous chili! RSVP with your name and the type of chili to connect@rockfordrc.org.

Sock Drive

Donations due by December 17, 2017

Children’s Ministry is hosting a sock drive! Did you know socks are the least donated and most needed item for homeless shelters? The donation crate is located in the fellowship hall. We would love to overflow the bin and bless our community with new socks this season. Thank you for your support!
