Orphan Sunday

Sunday, November 12, 2017

one day. one voice. one purpose. orphansunday.org

On Orphan Sunday, we seek to reveal God’s heart for adoption, foster care, and global orphan care.
“A father to the fatherless…is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families.” Psalm 68:5-6

We also remember how God first loved us.
“In the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’” Romans 9:26

And so we desire to mirror this love in tangible ways.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.” James 1:27

Christians worldwide are rising for the orphan. Join us. Our goal is that God’s great love for orphans finds echo in our lives.

Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.
