8:30am Coffee & Refreshments  •  9:00am Conference  •  12:30pm Lunch

Ladies of all ages, save Saturday, September 30, for our annual Ladies’ Day Event. This year’s speaker will be Karen Hossink, author of Confessions of an Irritable Mother and Finding Joy. Karen has been a speaker for moms’ groups and women’s events since 2005, talking about the hope God gives in the midst of struggles. In addition to our main speaker, there will be a variety of breakout sessions and a delicious lunch, all enjoyed in fellowship with other women from our church and community. This is a half-day you won’t want to miss, so register today!

This event is free, but please register by September 17! You can register online, or download and print the registration sheet and return it to Lori VerMerris at Rockford Reformed Church. You are welcome to register after September 17, but the lunch option will be closed as the amount of food will be based on September 17 numbers. Late registrants may also need to be placed in breakout sessions based on availability of supplies. Your understanding is appreciated.

Guest Speaker

Karen Hossink is a wife, mother, speaker, and author. She and her husband, Brian, have three children: Elizabeth, Joshua, and Matthew, and they make their home in Okemos, Michigan. Karen graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, which was helpful, but it is an on-going education at Weary Mom University which has led to her roles as speaker and author. When God revealed to Karen that He was using her children and her struggles as a mother to make her into the woman He wants her to be, she found hope, and in 2005 she began sharing that hope with other women as a regular speaker for women’s groups. Since then, Karen has shared her story with hundreds of women across the state of Michigan and around the United States. Learn more about Karen at her website, irritablemother.com.

Sermon Series: Spiritual Warfare

Sermon Series: Spiritual Warfare

The world is engaged in an epic war between forces of good and evil. We need to be aware of the war, understand the enemy, and know how to wage spiritual warfare. If we aren’t knowledgable and prepared, we will be vulnerable to the deceptions and temptations of Satan, the enemy of our souls. But greater is he who is in us than he that is in the world! This series will help prepare you to engage in this spiritual war and win through the power of God.

The Christian Family

Sermon Series: The Christian Family

Paul calls marriage a profound mystery. Throughout the Bible both marriage and family are seen as foundational for healthy life and healthy society. Through godly marriages and families, God’s relationship with us is mirrored, godly character is formed, and our faith is passed on to the next generation. In this series, we will look at the purpose and covenant of marriage. We will explore the relationships between husbands and wives, parents and children, and even employers and employees. This is a series about love and relationships, the very heart of our Christian faith and our lives in Christ.

  • March 19 – “The Covenant of Marriage” – Ephesians 5:31-33
