This year you will vote with your donations. Each chili entry will have a donation jar, and the one that raises the most money wins! Cash and checks accepted (no coins, please).

Season up those chili pots! We are looking for 20 people to enter our chili cook-off on February 16. If you want to offer cheese or sour cream as well, go ahead and bring it. We will provide hot dogs, tortilla chips, oyster crackers, and dessert. To enter, please RSVP with your name and the type of chili to connect@rockfordrc.org.

REAL Men

Every other Friday, 7am, Arnie’s Restaurant

REAL exists to strengthen our relationship with Christ and with each other by authentically sharing our faith journey so we all can be encouraged and grow in our faith.

REAL is a group that strives to create authentic and meaningful relationships among men and that desires a deeper relationship with Christ. It is a group that believes God is actively working in our lives, and that we all have a story that He wants us to tell. It is not a Bible study or an accountability group, and it is not exclusive to RRC, so invite others! Each meeting will feature a speaker. See below for the current schedule.

Note: Starting in January, we will be meeting at Arnie’s Restaurant, 34 S Squires St, downtown Rockford. The restaurant isn’t open at that time, so we have the place to ourselves. Coffee and refreshments provided.

Goals

  • Relationship – God created to us to be in fellowship, and when we share in life, we experience the fullness of the life he created for us.
  • Encouragement – God has enriched our lives with experiences that are not just for us. The blessings and tribulations of our lives are also intended to enrich the lives of others.
  • Authenticity – We are perfectly loved by God and our need for acceptance is found in Him alone. This frees us to express ourselves as who we are, not as who we wish we were.
  • Love – With humility and grace towards others as God does with each of us.

Winter/Spring 2020 Schedule

  • Jan 10 & 24
  • Feb 7 & 21
  • Mar 6 & 20
  • Apr 3 & 17
  • May 1 & 15

Organic Outreach

Saturday, Feb 1, 2020 • 9am-4pm at RRC

Organic Outreach for Ordinary People

More than anything, Christians want to see other people come to Christ. So why do most of us find it so difficult to join in making that happen?

The truth is, God is the One who brings people to Himself. But as He invites you and me to join Him in that process, we can experience one of life’s greatest joys! It doesn’t have to be difficult, because He wants to use us just the way He made us—bringing others closer to Christ, one step at a time!

Come join other Christ-followers from other local churches at Organic Outreach for Ordinary People Workshop. Together, we’ll join hearts and minds for a day of inspiration, fun, collaboration and practical insights.
