SeptemberFest

Sunday, September 9, 2018

Sunday, September 9 is our annual SeptemberFest! We will be having our worship service outdoors followed by an all-church picnic, complete with music, games, activities, prizes, and delicious food. There will still be KidLife Worship available for the kids. We will also have a giant slip-and-slide for the kids (and brave adults), so be sure to pack bathing suits and towels! For lunch, we will provide hotdogs, hamburgers, water, lemonade, and sno-kones. Please bring a dish to pass (sides, salads, desserts).

NKC Toilet Paper Drive

August 2018

RRC is collecting toilet paper during the month of August for North Kent Connect. It is one of the items they are in need of right now. Please bring donations to the church lobby – we have a large wooden crate you can place them in. Thank you for helping your neighbors in need!

Haiti Mission Trip

Donations due Sunday, June 10, 2018

We are in a time of prayer and preparation as we get ready to send another team to Haiti. In addition to prayer, we are also asking for some donations. Below is a list of items that will be utilized in Haiti while the team does teacher training, provides Bible studies, holds Vacation Bible Schools, and walks alongside our Haitian neighbors.

Monetary Donations are tax-deductible. We are anticipating about $1000 in baggage fees in addition to the costs of our in-country projects (Bible Studies, Day Camps, Teacher Bed Deliveries, etc.). Checks can be made out to RRC Missions Team.

We just received a call from Haiti about starting up a Sunday School program at a church in Port-au-Prince. The church currently has 80-100 children attending each Sunday and has hired a Director of Children’s Ministries, BUT they need our help. They are lacking the curriculum, furniture, and resources necessary to help this program, J.A.M. (Jesus and Me, or in Creole, Jezi Ak Mwen), thrive. Our team will be responsible for training the volunteers for this program AND for making the children’s space a place where they can experience the love of Jesus each and every Sunday. If you would like to make a monetary donation to help with this effort, please consider doing so! Checks can be made out to RRC Missions and are tax-deductible. Thanks! Mesi Anpil!

Baby Bottle Blessings

May 13 – June 17, 2018

RRC is once again partnering with Alpha Family Center of Cedar Springs to raise money for their organization. Alpha Family Center is a Christ-centered ministry that serves women and families who face an unwanted, unplanned, or at-risk pregnancy. By educating women who face a crisis pregnancy, women and their families are able to make informed decisions.

To participate in the Baby Bottle Blessings fundraiser, please pray for the center, take home an empty baby bottle, and fill it with your spare change, dollar bills, or checks (made out to Alpha Family Center). Bottles will be available at RRC on Mother’s Day, May 13. Please return them by Father’s Day, June 17. We will return them to Alpha Family Center for you. This is a great opportunity to teach our children about sharing God’s love while making a difference in the community!

Kids Hope Fundraiser

Monday, April 30, 2018 • 6:30-8:00pm

Fireside Room

At the end of the year party we would love to present each student with a new book for their summer reading. We could also use some new books to stock the Kids Hope room. By purchasing books for the kids you know (or donating a book on my wishlist), you are supporting and providing books for some children in a program that loves and supports children in the Rockford Community.

Think birthday parties, travel activities, educational materials, Christmas and birthday presents. This party will also be a good opportunity for food and fellowship. Are you unfamiliar with Kids Hope USA? Please join us and learn more about it. Please Come and Bring Your Friends!!!

If you can’t make it to the party, you can order online here.
