Baby Bottle Blessings

May 13 – June 17, 2018

RRC is once again partnering with Alpha Family Center of Cedar Springs to raise money for their organization. Alpha Family Center is a Christ-centered ministry that serves women and families who face an unwanted, unplanned, or at-risk pregnancy. By educating women who face a crisis pregnancy, women and their families are able to make informed decisions.

To participate in the Baby Bottle Blessings fundraiser, please pray for the center, take home an empty baby bottle, and fill it with your spare change, dollar bills, or checks (made out to Alpha Family Center). Bottles will be available at RRC on Mother’s Day, May 13. Please return them by Father’s Day, June 17. We will return them to Alpha Family Center for you. This is a great opportunity to teach our children about sharing God’s love while making a difference in the community!

Kids Hope Fundraiser

Monday, April 30, 2018 • 6:30-8:00pm

Fireside Room

At the end of the year party we would love to present each student with a new book for their summer reading. We could also use some new books to stock the Kids Hope room. By purchasing books for the kids you know (or donating a book on my wishlist), you are supporting and providing books for some children in a program that loves and supports children in the Rockford Community.

Think birthday parties, travel activities, educational materials, Christmas and birthday presents. This party will also be a good opportunity for food and fellowship. Are you unfamiliar with Kids Hope USA? Please join us and learn more about it. Please Come and Bring Your Friends!!!

Organic Outreach

Thursday, April 4, 2019 • 9am-3pm

From Pastor Tim’s update:

Thank you for your prayers for the God Dreams leadership retreat. It was a very encouraging time as God’s Spirit worked through us to discern a 7-year vision and strategies that will lead us to make real progress toward that vision. We are still working to flesh out this vision so that we can unveil the details. But in the near-term, one of the goals that leads to our vision of taking the gospel into our community involves 150 of us being trained with Organic Outreach over the next year. And, there will be various options for some kind of training in the months ahead, but there happens to be one of the best opportunities through an “Organic Outreach for Ordinary People” conference on Thursday, April 4, 9am-3pm, at Peace Church in Middleville. You may remember that 15 of us attended the event last spring and it was excellent.

We can carpool or take the vans and it will be a great time together of becoming equipped for the work God gives us to make disciples and share the gospel. You can register by signing up at this link. As part of our commitment to this vital effort toward our vision, the church is glad to cover at least $50 of the $75 fee (includes the book and lunch). Kevin and Sherry Harney provide delightful, biblical, and practical teaching to propel and equip us with a natural approach for developing meaningful relationships and conversations.

From Organic Outreach International:

Organic Outreach for Churches Conference

Organic Outreach for Churches Training provides direction for congregations to weave the gospel-focused passion and practice into the very DNA of church life. Outreach is not simply about sending money and prayers to missionaries or having a committee that plans occasional events to reach out – although these things are good. Organic outreach happens when evangelistic vision and action become the domain of every ministry in a church and the commitment of every person in a congregation.

Come join other leaders from local churches at the Organic Outreach Training. Together, we’ll join hearts and minds for a day of inspiration, fun, collaboration and practical insights.

Registration includes a copy of the Organic Outreach for Churches book and lunch.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.; the training begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.
