Calling all kids ages 3 years through those who are in (or have just completed) 5th grade! Join us for four nights at ROAR VBS, where kids explore God’s goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers them through this wild life. At ROAR, kids will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long.

Graduation Sunday

Sunday, June 2, 2019

Congregation: Join us as we celebrate our high school and college graduates!

Parents of High School and College Graduates: It’s that time of year again – the time when open houses and the anticipation of graduation takes hold. In celebration of our graduates, RRCYM likes to do something extra special by creating a booklet containing pictures of your graduate, a letter or prayer request from you to your son or daughter, and open house information. Each graduate will be allotted one page. Please take this opportunity to celebrate your graduate with us as a church!

Letters MUST be emailed to Laura Jolliffe by Sunday, May 26.

Please indicate in the letter your graduate’s full name, your names, where they are planning to go to school (or their future plans), what they are planning on majoring in, a message/prayer, and open house information (if open house info is something you want published). Don’t worry about designing the page, just send the photos and information to Laura for layout. Thank you!

Trivia Night

Friday, March 13, 2020

6:15-9:00pm in the gym
Appetizers and refreshments begin at 6:15
Trivia begins promptly at 7:00!

Does your brain hold a lot of useless information? Then invite your friends, neighbors, or family members (ages 18+) to join us for a fun night of trivia, led by MI Team Trivia. Enter as a team of 5-8 and work together to answer the questions. No team? No problem! We will place you with an existing team or form a team with others who come solo.

Cost is free! Snacks and refreshments provided! Prizes for the winning team!

Childcare will be provided by our youth ministry to raise funds for mission trips and retreats – nursery for ages 3 and under, activities and snacks for ages 4 and up.

LVL

Leadership / Vision / Life

From Pastor Tim: I do a lot of study/reading/listening through scripture, books, articles, blogs, and lectures with our church, you, and your family in mind. As I do so, I come across gems that I REALLY WISH you all could read/absorb. I often send the best of these to consistory and staff but I don’t want to flood everybody’s inbox. LVL stands for Leadership, Vision, Life. And so many of the articles and my own reflections, etc. would revolve around developing leaders, understanding God’s vision for us, and how we can make progress in the Christian life — with topics such as Bible study, parenting, and how the gospel changes us. The frequency of these emails would vary but there would likely be several each month. You can always opt out at any time. Let Laura know if you want to be a part of this list and she will get you set up.

Spark in the Dark

Wednesday, October 30, 2019

6-8pm in the gym

Join us for our 5th annual Spark in the Dark party the day before Halloween! There will be games, food, prizes, candy, and more! Invite your friends and family! Costumes welcome.

Note: This is not a “normal” KidLife Club night – we are not meeting in separate groups and leaders are not responsible for watching the children. We want this to be a family event, so come join your kids for a night of fun! It’s also a great time to invite friends and neighbors to RRC. Hot dogs will be available along with other snacks. If you have any questions, please call 866-2308 or email connect@rockfordrc.org.

Missions Donation Bin

Spring 2019

We are currently collecting the following items. They can be placed in the giant wooden crate in the lobby:
  • North Kent Connect: cereal & oatmeal
  • The Other Way: crackers & juice boxes

Throughout the year, we collect donation items for various community ministries such as North Kent Connect and Alpha Family Center of Cedar Springs. Signs in the lobby will tell you what items we are currently looking for.
